I Survived Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8: Twilight Heist and All I Got Was This Lousy RAM-7
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8: Twilight Heist brings the RAM-7, Drill Charge, and Battle Pass rewards to a stylish, chaotic heist.
I’m not saying I’m a bad Call of Duty: Mobile player, but my idea of a “heist” is successfully extracting with a single dog tag in Battle Royale. So when Season 8 — Twilight Heist dropped back on September 3, I was ready to put on my imaginary balaclava and pretend I was a criminal mastermind. Spoiler: I mostly just drilled holes in walls and died a lot. But hey, at least I looked stylish doing it.

Let’s start with the new toys, because that’s what we’re all here for. The RAM-7 Assault Rifle is a series favorite, and I can confirm it’s a beast at close-to-mid range. Good stopping power, moderate recoil — perfect for someone like me who panic-sprays and hopes for the best. Then there’s the Drill Charge, a lethal that burrows into surfaces and explodes on the other side. I spent an entire match trying to drill through a wall to flank an enemy, only to realize I was drilling into the map boundary. Ten out of ten for theatricality, zero for tactical awareness.
And let’s not forget the M1 Garand Bayonet Signature Attachment — because nothing says “heist” like fixing bayonets and charging like it’s 1944. I unlocked it through the Season 8 Challenge Pass, which had me completing Standard, Special, and Elite missions. I felt very elite until I realized the mission was “play 10 matches” and I’d already played 50. Tokens earned me the Predator Missile — Guided Attack Scorestreak Reskin, which I immediately wasted on an empty corner of the map. Classic me.

The Ranked Festival was a new event system that promised milestone rewards for playing Ranked Play. I jumped in, confident that my “strategic” approach (hiding in a corner with a shotgun) would carry me. It did not. But I did earn the ASM10 — Turbulent Mayhem blueprint, which is now my go-to weapon for looking cool while losing. The festival also gave me something to blame other than lag: “I’m not bad, I’m just grinding for milestone rewards!”
Events were plentiful. The Secret Cache Recovery event let me retrieve caches I missed the first time. I missed a lot. Like, a concerning amount. I played on weekdays for one cache, weekends for two, and somehow still ended up with fewer caches than my cat has brain cells. The Alchemy Stars crossover returned, and I finally got the Grau 5.56 — Focused Store blueprint. I don’t know what an Alchemy Star is, but I’m now the proud owner of a gun that looks like it was designed by a cosmic artist. The Clan Leaderboard Event was fun — my clan is just me and my imaginary friend, so we didn’t place high, but I did get the Wraith — Rustcrawler skin. Spooky.

The Twilight Heist Battle Pass was a delightful mix of cosmic flair and criminal rebellion. I grabbed the Premium Pass because I have no self-control, and I immediately equipped the Mace — Career Criminal skin. Finally, a title that matches my in-game performance. The other skins — Francis — Tactical Edge, Antonov — Sickle, Portnova — Manic Merc — are all great, but I stuck with Mace because he looks like he’d steal your lunch money and then help you with your homework. Weapon blueprints like the KRM-262 — Nitrous Neutralizer and TEC-9 — Lawful Authority are nice, but let’s be real: I’m here for the operator skins.
Of course, the Store had to tempt me. The Whorl of Midnight Mythic Draw featured the Mythic RAM-7 — Nebula’s Brush, a weapon so pretty I almost felt bad using it to miss every shot. Almost. I didn’t pull it (my luck is inversely proportional to my desire), but I did get the Legendary Klepto — Twilight Traitor operator skin. Now I can betray my team in style. The Cold Claw Series Armory gave us cat-themed blueprints like the Locus — Metal Whiskers and MAC-10 — Kitty in Pink. As a cat person, I approved. The Alchemy Stars Draw Rerun was a second chance for those who missed it, and I finally grabbed the HVK-30 — Dantang’s Diancui. The Battle Pass Vault brought back the Season 11 — Anniversary 2020 Battle Pass, which made me nostalgic for a time when I was still bad at the game but at least the maps were new.
Here’s a quick summary of the new gear, for those who like tables:
| Item | Type | My Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| RAM-7 | Assault Rifle | Solid, but I still can’t aim |
| Drill Charge | Lethal | Fun to use, terrible for my K/D |
| M1 Garand Bayonet | Attachment | Historical accuracy meets my historical inaccuracy |
| Ranked Festival | Event | Rewards my mediocrity |
| Secret Cache Recovery | Event | Exposed my hoarding problem |
Season 8 — Twilight Heist was a blast, even if I never successfully pulled off a “heist” (unless you count stealing defeat from the jaws of victory). The season may have launched back in September, but the content still holds up if you’re a newer player or just want to relive the chaos. The RAM-7 is still a solid pick, the Drill Charge still confuses me, and the cat-themed blueprints still make me smile. If you see me in-game, please don’t drill charge my hiding spot. I’m probably already dead.

Until next season, stay heisty, my friends. 🕵️♂️💥🐱
